This would never have been reported if Karon Smith were not working at Eventide Nursing Home. She has given a very small minority of people the courage to speak out about abuse. This would have been swept under the carpet and nobody would know. Why do I know this because I am a Registered Nurse formerly of Eventide and I take my hat off to Mrs Smith, things like this happen all the time and go unreported.
