JULIA GILLARD PM AND MARK BUTLER MP: SING ASKS, WHY DO YOU BOTH CONTINUE TO LIE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC REGARDING THE ATROCIOUS STATE OF AGED CARE?

SING suggests the very fact that the founder of this website has documented evidence of wrongdoing dating back to at least the year 2000, clearly proves that aged care has not improved for at least 11 years.

SING agrees the comment reportedly made by the Victorian Coroner Kim Parkinson that "Aged persons are entitled to at least the same protections as any other member of the community" should be sacrosanct.

SING suggests that anyone just browsing this website will agree that the so-called protections of our elderly and vulnerable citizens are a joke.

SING ASKS ONCE AGAIN: WHAT ELSE IS NEW IN AGED CARE?

The sad death of Anderina Sanderson 89, formerly of Central Park Nursing Home, Melbourne, Victoria is just another in the long list of victims documented on this website.

SING ASKS: WHEN WILL IT END?
WHEN WILL THOSE WHO REPORT THESE SERIOUS MATTERS BE HEARD?
WHEN WILL THIS ABUSE/ASSAULT STOP?

  1. It's very sad that Ms. Sanderson, died in a Nursing home which is supposed to be a safe place for our aged citizens. Why was there no protection for this woman, if the aggressor has had two prior incidents of assault, why was he not separated from the other residents, or at least constantly watched to prevent incidents such as this from occurring. Eleven years ago Karen you brought this to light on the sexual assaults of the dementia patients, why has nothing been done Ms. Gillard. Cheryl

  2. Your asking Ms Gillard why nothing is being done?...come on now, she is a proven bully herself with no regard for the general public or what they want. It is not right that people with brain damage (dementia) be locked up in units without supervision, funny how the standard ratio in most units is 2 nurses for 10-12 residents, and many of those residents require 2 staff assist in the shower, when they are having a shower then, who is suppervising the rest of them? Perhaps we should offer Julia the oppertunity to work as a staff member in a facility for a day with the normal ratio and let her see things for what they are. I use to tell staff off for showering residents in the wee hours of the morning when on a night duty there is only one staff member for the same amount of residents, I use to tell them, if you slip or they hit you and you knock your head on the sink, you could bleed to death before you were found by the morning staff, not to mention again, who is observing the other residents?

  3. This is tragic but not a surprise. I work for QHealth in the aged care. These elderly citizens are placed in these homes and they are the displaced of our society. Nobody seems to care. Management do not see these people as those that need to be loved and cared for. I have many sleepless nights. I am not able to change anything as i am way down there in the pay scale.
